Nisyros from Kardamena

Service Description

NISYROS is one of the smallest islands in the Dodecanese. Untouched by today’s modernism. Well known for its volcano, one of the few dormant in the world. It leads its life between the white painted narrow streets and semi-wild nature of the volcano valley. Climb the 130 steps to the church of Virgin Mary “Spilliani” located high upon a rock with a spectacular view of the open sea. You will be picked up from accommodation and bought to the Kardamena harbour where we depart at 09.30am. The crossing is roughly an hour and once we arrive you will be met by our escorts who will give you the time schedule for the coaches that will continue to the volcano. We spend about 40min there, giving you a chance to walk down into the crater (comfortable footwear recommended). We then return to Mandraki*, where you will have free time to wonder the narrow winding traditional streets and have lunch(not included). The boat departs for return 15.30. Once back in Kardamena you are returned to your accommodation. *you may have your free time before the volcano trip depending on the coach schedules
